This book is written by the author of The Snowy Day so I was very surprised when I was reading it because the illustrations were very different. The illustrations in the book are much more vivid, each illustration looks like a painting. When reading this book I felt that the illustrations should be hanging in the museum. It looks like the author used a splatter technique for the background of the pictures and that the point that drew my eyes in every illustration
